My work captures the natural and constructed world in its most fundamental forms. I work from the memory of a place or object, instilling my feelings and experiences into my paintings. The paintings often pulsate with a combination of primary and mixed color of bold line and shape on joined boards. The result is an ordered or structured composition of clear color, subtle textures and orthogonal forms stripped to their essence. My love of structure and form comes from my 30-year career as an architect.
